The "KnockOut" Kappa Omicron chapter was founded in 1976 under the leadership of Gayla Taylor Smith. In 40 years of existence Kappa Omicron has grown into the award-winning chapter that it has become today. Through sisterhood, scholarship and service the Kappa Omicron chapter strives to personify the motto of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® to lead "by culture and by merit".
