Member Bios

Alexis Oliver,  a senior majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Zoology. I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. On-campus, I serve as VetPAC Intern, where I am able to provide peer mentoring and help execute programs to support students on the pre-veterinary track. In addition, I am currently the Social Chair for the Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences club and Marketing Director for Black Students Board. Outside of these extracurriculars, I am also a part of the University Scholars Program and the CALS Honors Program. In my free time, I enjoy shadowing various veterinarians, traveling, and spending time with friends!

Ashley Pulley, a senior majoring in Media Communications with a minor in Business Administration. I was born and raised in Wendell, North Carolina. On-campus I am a general member of the Black Student’s Board and I have a work-study job at the Park Alumni Center. After receiving my bachelor’s degree I plan to go to law school and become a lawyer. Outside of my studies, I enjoy volunteering, spending time with family, and traveling.

Jada Williams, a senior majoring in Fashion and Textile Management with a concentration in Fashion Development and Product Management. I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, and have a true passion for the fashion world and unique fashion trends. I am a member of the African American Textile Society at NC State. I plan on attending fashion school once I graduate, in hopes to become a buyer in the future.

Jeanine Ikekhua, a senior majoring in International Studies and Communications with a minor in Chinese Studies. I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, but currently live in San Antonio, Florida. On-campus, I currently serve as the Public Affairs Director at WKNC Radio 88.1 FM/HD-1. I am also a college mentor, African Student Union Parliamentarian, and Park Scholar. Outside of school, I enjoy making podcasts and interviewing people. In the future, I hope to make podcasts for a media company.

Kyla Kemp, a senior majoring in Meteorology with hopes to be a future Broadcast Meteorologist. I recently transferred from College of Charleston in Charleston, SC  where I was a spring '21 initiate of the Iota Omicron Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. My current role for this year is serving as a general member for the Kappa Omicron Chapter. On-campus, I recently became involved with the NCSU Weather Broadcast Club. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and trying new restaurants.
